DML Morning Briefing Thurs. Mar. 25: Kamala’s new job, propaganda from the left, and more…
By Team DML
Today is March 25 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion.
- 12:00 ET – Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai will appear virtually before the House Energy and Commerce Committee in a hearing about “misinformation” on online platforms.
- 1:15 ET – Joe Biden is holding his very first press briefing as president today, on the 65th day of his administration.
IN THE NEWS:
1 – White House Instructs All Federal Agencies To Say ‘Biden-Harris’ Administration
The Daily Wire reports: A leaked email that allegedly came from a top White House communications team member reveals that the Biden administration is instructing federal government agencies to refer to the Biden administration as the “Biden-Harris Administration.”
The email states, “Please be sure to reference the current administration as the ‘Biden-Harris Administration’ in official public communications,” with “Biden-Harris Administration” bolded, as Outspoken noted, adding, “The subtle move to diminish Biden was also reflected in the official Twitter account for the White House. The description for that account now reads, ‘Welcome to the Biden-Harris White House!’”
“Press releases and other communications from the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, and the Attorney General all exclusively refer to the Biden-Harris Administration, in lieu of only naming the president, which has been customary until now,” Outspoken pointed out.
DML: What do you think? Getting prepared for a “transition?”
2 – Biden turns the border crisis over to Kamala Harris – who once said the U.S. should welcome caravans, compared ICE to KKK, and raised her hand to say she would decriminalize illegal border crossings.
The Free Beacon reports: Vice President Kamala Harris, who less than a year ago expressed support for decriminalizing illegal border crossings, will spearhead the White House’s response to the crisis at the southern border.
President Joe Biden said Wednesday that he can “think of nobody who is better qualified” to handle the situation than Harris, who he said “speaks for me.” The decision comes as the White House struggles to deal with a historic surge in border apprehensions. U.S. Border Patrol agents are currently detaining more than 600 unaccompanied migrant children per day, far more than the 370 daily apprehensions seen during the 2019 migrant surge.
While top administration officials claim that Harris’s first goal will be to quell the surge of illegal migrants, the Democrat has a history of dismissing illegal immigration and the federal government’s role in stopping it. As a presidential candidate last summer, Harris said she backed decriminalizing illegal border crossings and would “not make it a crime” to illegally cross the border if she was elected.
Arizona governor Doug Ducey blasted Biden on Wednesday for appointing Harris to the role:
In Oct. 2018, Harris told a CNN reporter that the U.S. response to the 7,000-strong migrant caravan of job-seekers and previously deported illegal aliens should be “welcoming” and “tolerant.”
In Nov. 2018, Harris compared the “perception” of ICE to the Ku Klux Klan in a brutal grilling of then-acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement director Ronald Vitiello.
In June-July 2019, she railed against the detention of illegal alien children:
During a 2020 Democrat primary debate, Harris raised her hand in support of decriminalizing illegal border crossings:

3 – Liberal City To Give Low Income Families Of Color $500 Monthly
The Daily Caller reports: Low-income families of color in Oakland, California will now be eligible to receive $500 a month with no strings attached, the mayor announced Tuesday.
Democratic Mayor Libby Schaaf said the city would be hosting “one of the largest guaranteed income pilot programs” in the nation that will give 600 families who are either black, indigenous or “people of color” with low-income $500 per month for at least 18 months.
The project, Oakland Resilient Families, is meant to bridge the wealth gap for Oakland families while improving economic stability, mobility and assets, according to the mayor’s office.
“The poverty we all witness today is not a personal failure, it is a systems failure,” Schaaf said in a statement. “Guaranteed income is one of the most promising tools for systems change, racial equity, and economic mobility we’ve seen in decades. I’m proud to work with such committed local partners to build a new system that can help undo centuries of economic and racial injustice, and point us all toward a more just society.”
The program will begin this spring once the remaining community feedback has been included, according to Schaaf. The money can be used for anything, though participants will have the option to take surveys about how they’re spending the funds.
DML: Isn’t this racist?
4 – Boston Globe Launches ‘Racial Justice’ Newspaper, ‘The Emancipator’
Breitbart reports: The Boston Globe has launched a new publication, called The Emancipator, in coordination with Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research. The publication, named for an 18th-century abolitionist newspaper, aims to “hasten racial justice.”
The advisory board of The Emancipator includes Ibram X. Kendi, director of Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research, who recently argued that white people who adopt black children may still be racist, in the context of the left’s attack on Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. (Barrett has adopted and raised two children originally from Haiti.)
Others on the board include “undocumented” illegal alien journalist Jose Antonio Vargas and MSNBC host Joy-Ann Reid, who has faced accusations of homophobia and anti-Catholic bias.
The board does not include any white males; scholar Ian F. Haney López identifies as Latino.
DML: Democrats – the party of division.
5 – Washington Post report catching backlash: “Social justice for toddlers: These new books and programs start the conversation early”
From the Washington Post: In the era of Black Lives Matter and #MeToo, many parents are wondering when the right time is to talk to their children about social justice. Experts say it’s never too early, and a new wave of tools and resources can help start the conversation.
You can enroll in a music class (virtually now) that develops understanding of gender and personhood. A drag queen story time will soon be a television show. And there are more and more children’s books that discuss intersectionality and broaden representation, plus flashcards and short videos that teach parent and toddler about anti-racism ideas.
“Teaching children to have an equity mind-set and strive for justice is giving them a crucial skill that will help them through life,” says Nicole Stamp, a Toronto-based children’s TV writer and host who co-founded the limited-run ByUs box, a curated box of toys, books and curricula that aims to dismantle bias for kids as young as 2 years old.
Leigh Wilton and Jessica Sullivan, Skidmore College psychology professors who study race and social interaction, say that children develop implicit bias as early as 3 months old, and at 4 years old are categorizing and developing stereotypes.
Kaleb Robertson and JP Kane are performance artists who have experience in early education and have been offering free drag story time in Toronto since 2016. Their goal is to increase exposure to drag, support gender-variant children and create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome.

6 – Reporter asks Cruz to wear mask at presser, response goes viral
Fox News reports: Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas., was quick to dismiss a reporter’s request that he wear a mask during a Senate presser on Wednesday.
Cruz stepped up to the microphones, but was stopped before he could speak by the unidentified reporter asking, “Would you mind putting on a mask for us?”
“Yeah, when I’m talking to the TV camera, I’m not going to wear a mask,” Cruz responded. “All of us have been immunized, so…”
“It’d make us feel better,” the reporter is heard replying. WATCH how Cruz responds:
DML: This was EPIC!
7 – Gym owner giving free memberships to those who don’t get vaccinated
WFLA reports: In light of popular doughnut shop Krispy Kreme offering free donuts to those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine, one gym owner is doing the opposite.
Ian Smith, who says he is the co-owner of The Atilis Gym, located in Bellmawr, New Jersey had a different proposal — free memberships for everybody who has not been vaccinated.
“In light of @krispykreme giving free donuts for receiving the CVD shot, here at @TheAtilisGym we are giving out free memberships to all who don’t get vaccinated. We believe in health – the real way – exercise, good diet, plenty of Vitamin D, Zinc, and an environment to destress,” Smith tweeted.
On Monday, Krispy Kreme announced, “We’d like to show sweet support to those who have received the COVID-19 Vaccine. Starting today, bring your Vaccine Card to a Krispy Kreme shop and get 1 FREE Original Glazed doughnut. No chance to get your Vaccine? This will run thru end of 2021.”
DML: So, now you have two options… a donut or a free gym pass! 🙂
